Nocturnal We marked its birth in early 2007 when Erick Encinares (Sleepyheads) and Alex Paita (Sleepyheads, Mint Car), after sharing their individual influences and expressing mutual aversion toward the current music scene in the Philippines, began talks of forming a band together. From jamming in the studio as a trio with drummer Clifford Portilla (Kid Auto Races in Venice, Styrene), the band evolved into an ambient chamber-folk supergroup when violinist Yul Garrido and keyboardist Carol Pajaro
