Good Vibes All Around
Leave the sounds of everyday behind for Good Vibrations 2008: the biggest, most awaited music festival on the Australian summer calendar. Spanning four cities, the festival brings thousands of music-hungry revelers together and gets them moving to the beats of the world’s top musicians. Sounds familiar? It’s different down under. All Good Vibrations events are staged in natural surroundings. Think massive gardens, natural amphitheatres and concert set-ups in the great outdoors. And with your favorite artists performing right in front of you. This year, it’s Kanye, Thievery Corporation and Cypress Hill at the top of the to-watch list. Calvin Harris, The Rapture, James Zabiela and Pharoahe Monch will be there. Local musicians and indie bands will grace the GV stages with their talent as well.
It’s no wonder then that people from around the world flock to Good Vibrations. This year, Nokia has made sure that the Philippines is represented: a VIP member of the Nokia IAC will be flown there to watch the festival’s fifth run. And all for free. There’ll be Hip Hop, House, Funk, Soul, Electro-Disco-Pop and a whole mishmash of other summer beats to get anybody groovin’. What to do? Grab a drink from the bar, find a spot and just take in the good vibes.
